Somatic Sex Ed

Somatic Sex Education (SSE) and Surrogate Partner Therapy (SPT) are related sexual healing modalities

Update: My practice is currently full and I am placing prospective clients on a waitlist. If you are interested in being added to my waitlist, please email me at rachelyukimura@protonmail.com. I will send you my SSE intake form. Once I receive your responses, I can add you to the list.

Surrogate Partner Therapy might be too expensive or time-consuming for your needs right now.  That’s ok!  In January 2025 I completed my certification through the Institute for the Study of Somatic Sex Education and am now offering Somatic Sex Education services to select clients.

SPT and SSE address many of the same concerns relating to sex and sexuality in ways that prioritize pleasure and consent.  However, there are a few vital differences (see table below).  SPT focuses on partnership.  SPT clients often (though not always) have little to no dating experience and would like to practice all the stages of the lifecycle of a relationship, from getting to know each other through sexual intimacy through saying goodbye amicably.  SSE clients also explore and expand aspects of their sexuality but do not need the structure of a partnership or the psychological support of a collaborating talk therapist.  You can find more information about SSE here.  If you are interested in working with me in an SSE capacity, please email me at rachelyukimura@protonmail.com and I will get back to you as soon as I can.  Thank you!
